Ingredients

Cup
moong dal
½
tsp
kashmiri red chilli powder / lal mirch powder
½
tsp
chaat masala
¼
tsp
salt
Oil for deep frying
¼

Instructions
Firstly soak 1 cup moong dal in enough water for 4-5 hours and add a pinch of baking powder and mix everything well.
Once soaked well, Drain off the excess water completely.
Spread the soaked moong dal on a muslin cloth for 30 minutes to 1 hours to absorb water.
For Frying Moong Dal Namkeen:
Now heat frying oil in a deep pan over medium flame.
Fry moong dal in a steel strainer and in small batches.
Fry till moong dal turns out to be crisp. can hear a crisp sound when stirring and all the moong dal appears separately.
Drain off the moong dal over paper towel to remove the excess oil.
Add in ½ tsp chilli powder, ½ tsp chaat masala and ¼ tsp salt in still hot moong dal.
