Ingredients
- 600 gms lauki / bottle gourd / doodhi / ghiya
- 1/4 cup cup ghee / desi ghee/ clarified butter
- 5 Almond/ Badam Chopped
- 1 cup Milk
- 3/4 cup Sugar
- 4-5 Cardoman

Instructions
- Heat ½ cup of ghee and roast it the 5 Almonds (according to availability you canused it the quantity and Raisin, Cashew).
- Fry the dry nuts till the golden brown and keep aside.
- Now in pan, add in grated lauki and sauté for5-7 minutes.
- Saute till the lauki shrinks slightly and changes colour.
- Add in ½ cup milk and mix well.
- Again the ½ cup milk and mix well.
- Cook until the 10 minutes or till milk thickensand lauki gets cooked completely.
- Further add in ¾ cup sugar and mix well .Add the Cardoman 3-4 in number.
- Sugar melts and boil for 5 minutes or till it thickens.
- Now, Add a 1 teaspoons ghee.
- Add in khoya into lauki mixture and mix well.(Ifyou don’t have khoya, then you can used it the Milk Powder or Malai)
- Keep stirring till the mixture thickens and forms a mass.
- Then, Sprinkle the Roasted Almonds and serve thehot Lauki ka Halwa.
